If I just sit here with my nose pressed into a rock I will become the rock and that huge creature hovering above will not see me.
Phrynosoma solarae aka Regal Horned Lizard (I believe but I could be wrong: note to self need a herp ID guidebook in my life...) could also be Phrynosoma modestum aka Roundtailed Horned Lizard.
Or just go for “Horny Toad” and be done. Though ‘tis not a toad and no biznis of mine if horny
