A few weeks ago I became the officially registered custodian of this somewhat worse for wear, neglected and abused, 1940 stone and adobe gem in my fav little Chihauhauan desert town.

I have been plotting her rescue from the abandonment of foreclosure a while now, trundling through bureaucratic red tape. A few weeks ago, it became officially my responsibility to rehabilitate her to health and well-being.

It’s a somewhat steep learning curve, studying municipal codes and tracking down electricians and plumbers to get the juices flowing after years of emptiness and neglect.
