Knee high by 4th July?

Writer's picture: kaydee777kaydee777

Say what?

At #6thavenueshala , by 4th July, 7 and 8 ft tasseling Indian Corn vyes with sunflowers to be Queen of the Mountain, or at least as tall as the house.

Understory of beans isn’t keeping score.

I harvested the first (slightly young) ear of the season to have, lightly steamed, for 4th July breakfast. Indian Corn is primarily a flint (grinding) corn but really tasty at milk stage

Needs a few more weeks to be at its chewy, nutty best though.
